Scented Cards

Our newest innovation! We can bring your card program another dimension – via the customer’s nose! Plastag offers many exciting scents that support your marketing: Chocolate, mint, coffee, cinnamon, cookie, floral, etc. The customer’s wallet can carry your card with some exciting aromas!

Surface Effects: Shiny vs. Matte Finish

Picture a glass pane with selected areas having a frosted effect. On a card, your selected artwork can jump out with specific glossy/matte effects throughout the card. Or, for a classy effect, choose our full matte surface effects. Very elegant!

Writable Panels

Both printable and signature panels are offered in white. We recommend that customers test sample printable cards in their printers before ordering, as each printer performs differently. A reasonable amount of sample cards will be provided for testing upon request. Signature panels may be applied both as a hot stamp and a screen printed process. Signature panels must be screen printed when the card thickness is less than .020, when multiple panels are required, or the panel size is other than standard. Clear panels are available by silk-screen method only.

Hot Stamping: Panels are available in standard, short, slim, and slim short. Silk-Screen printing offers a wider variety of sizes than hot-stamping.

Magnetic Stripes

Magnetic stripes are offered in five different sizes and are available in both low and high coercivity, and 300, 2750, or 4000 oersted.

• 5/16" Covers two tracks
• 7/16" Covers three tracks
• 9/16" Covers four tracks (super stripe)
• 1/2" Covers three and one half tracks
• We can apply roll-on magnetic stripes as well as flush laminated magnetic stripes.

Card Data Personalization

Our Lucas Color Card division performs much of our card personalization services, including: Printing inkjet control numbers and barcodes with encoding, high-speed thermal transfer imaging and encoding, collating, batching and fulfillment. Lucas features the patent-pending Data Manager system which can assure accurate long-term management of your program and provide internet data history tracking.

SPEED! Plastag can begin personalizing your cards with your data as quickly as the first card batch rolls off the production line. Thus, we can save you time.

Customized Packaging

Plastag now owns 6 Ga-Vehren automated card affixing and folding packaging systems. Cards can be affixed to any form and the form can be folded for point-of-sale use or direct mail applications. Our systems can also inkjet matching control numbers, barcodes and customer address information.

Foil Applications

Decorative foils are applied to cards with heat. If you have a specific foil in mind, we can apply it for you, or Plastag has a wide variety to choose from. Elegance is easily added to your card with a foil outline of text or logos!

Holograms

This security feature prevents the reproduction of ATM/Bank cards and credit cards. Plastag has a variety of holograms to choose from or will apply your own custom hologram.

Scratch-off Panels

Scratch-off panels are applied through hot stamping or silk screening. Typically they are used to cover pin numbers on debit cards.

Hole Punching

We have standard dies for most common size punched holes. Examples would be luggage slots and hospital holes. We will be happy to do custom sizes as well.

Special Shapes: Custom Die Cutting

Plastag offers eight different cuts as standard, with the capability to cut to any specification you require. Our latest die shapes include fun effects such as enhanced rounded edges, holes, and intricate designs. Ask for samples of these creative shapes!
