SFTP
The on-premises Lucas FTP server uses SFTP (FTP over SSH). With SFTP, any user IDs and passwords supplied over the SFTP connection will be encrypted. Connections can be authenticated using a couple of different techniques. For basic authentication, it can just require a user ID and password to connect to the SFTP server, but SSH keys can also be used to authenticate SFTP connections in addition to, or instead of, passwords. Only users with admin-level privileges have access to customers’ SFTP folder and our physical server room.
